  • It is late at night and I have had a long first day of clinicals and I went to the ladies Bible study, so I am tired. I just want to let you know that I made a 100 yesterday on the Dosage Calculations II test. Thank you all who prayed for me. They were answered.

That is all for now. I need to go to bed. I have a long day tomorrow. Take care and be blessed!

  • Well I have 5 days before I start my Fall semester. I have 2 classes each for seven wks. The first class I will take is very very hard I am told. I have lec. 3 days a wk for 2 hrs. and clinicals 2 day a wk from 7am- 3:45pm. On 2 of the days I have lec., after lec I have to go to the hosp. to preplan for my clinical day. So, I have a full load to start of with. The next seven wk is a little more relaxing I have classes 2 days a wk and clinicals 1 day.  I will have 2 free days, which will probably be used to study.

I did not make a 100 on my Dosage Calculations II exam. I missed 2 and made a 90. I have to retake it on Mon it see if I can make a 100, and if not I will have to retake the class, so your prayers will be much appreciated.

Your prayers will also be appreciated for my health. Even though I had the operation, I still have pain. Some days it is so bad that I can barely walk. When I went in for the operation, my doctor found out that I have Endometriosis. There is not a cure for what I have. The doctor just gave me pain medicine. I know I serve an awesome, all powerfull, great physician; GOD, and that he is in control. He gives me extra strength to function on those days when I am hurting alot.

I missed seeing you all who were at ASCEC this year.  Hope to see some pics on your pages. Until next time Live 4 Christ!

  • I know that I don't post are comment much, but I do think you guys all the time.

I am back in school with a Dosage Calculation 2, that I take on Monday's from 9:30 -11 and Skills Application Nur 206 that I have on Wednesday's from 7-4. I cannot miss a Wed. unless I plan to make it up at the beginning of the fall semester. I do not want to be trying to complete a class while starting another one. Each Wed I take care of 3 to 4 patients and am usually worn out by the end of the day. Every other wk. I have to answer 20 ques. on my clincal days and it usually turns out to be 5-6 pages long and I only have 1 day to complete it and turn in to my instructor. My dosage calculations class consist of doing a bunch of problems. It will help me to learn how to recalculate order that the doctors give to make sure they are safe for the patients. We have to make a 100 on the final.

I am doing pretty good. I have recovered from my operation. I do have pain still some days, but it is b/c I have Endometriosis. I found out a couple of days ago that I was allergic to the medication that I was given to help with what I was diagnose with. I just will continue to trust in God b/c I know that he is in control. Hope you all are doing well. Take care.

  • I  am done for the semester. Actually I have been done for a wk. It was a hard semester. I didn't even have time to sleep. Thank the Lord, who brought me through and help me to pass my classes.

How are you all doing? I am doing okay. Keep me in your prayers as I go for surgery tomorrow. I have had a problem that I have dealt with for the last 8 mo. There were times when I wasn't sure I could make it through the day or finish this semester, but God gave me the strength and held me up when I didn't think I could even walk because the pain was so bad. I would appreaciate your prayers.

Syntyche graduated this past Sat. with a degree in Elementary Education. She is glad to be done. Praise the Lord. Timothy works at MUSC as a patient transporter, which he enjoys. I will be taking a couple of summer classes. One thing about the nursing program I am in, is that we don't have a choice when we take our classes. It is okay though because I know it will work out in the end. I look forward to the day when I will be able to return to ASCEC. I miss everyone very much. Take care of yourself.  Love you!

  • I was reminded by Marcus on Friday that I haven't posted in awhile. It is just that the nursing program is so demanding that I haven't had time. I do come on the website to read other people posts, but it is usually after I have been on the computer awhile doing things for school. Then I am tired and ready to get off the computer, so I don't post. I always said next time, but that never happened until now.

I have made it through my first nusing class this semester. Praise the Lord. It was tough and I was ready to give up at times, but the Lord brought me through. I just started my new class on Wed and was soooooo excited. Thurs was an awesome day. I got to stick one of my clinical buddies with a needle as we practice PPD(TB) test shots. We practice other injection technique but not on each other, my buddy wanted to do an insulin injection in my stomach, but she had to do it on the dummy. She was j/k though.

Our church is seeking to reach out to the people in the neighborhood accross from out chapel (that recently reopen) with the Gospel. We intend to go out at  least once a month. Last month was our first time. I was kind of nervous but after the first couple of doors, I began to relax a little. They went again this past Saturday, and I was planning on going, but had to go back home not long after I got there. I missed out this time. Please pray for us as we seek to share the Gospel with the ones in this neighborhood.

The reason I had to go home b/c as soon as I got there I started experiencing excruciating pain in my pelvic area, which had me screaming out in pain. It was so bad that I could barely walk and my sister had to drive me back home. My mom kept asking me if I needed to go to the emergency rm, but I didn't want. I think she told my sister that if the pain didn't decrease to take me anyway. I don't know the exact time length, but it seem that the pain was that bad for an hr. before it started to reduce and I was able to calm down with some silent or low cries that finally went into a tiresome sleep from all the pain and crying. When  I woke up, my sister gave something to eat, which was some toast b/c my stomach was feeling nausated. After that I got up and was going to the bathroom, when my mom noticed that my eyes were swollen. I guess from the long hard cries due to the pain. I slept on an off the rest of the day and woke Sun. mornig just feeling a little aching and had to take it slow. From past experience, I believe that I had a cyst(s) rupture. I would appreciate it if you will continue to keep me in your prayers.

Love and miss you all and will continue to keep you in my prayers as well.

O, I almost forgot to tell you( may as well drop the bomb now) that I will not be at ASCEC again this year. I drew an all summer card for my Nur 206 class and no one wanted to trade. I only have to go once a week from 7 to 4 but we are not allowed to miss any of the clinicals (like we can do during the spring or fall semesters) b/c it is straight clinicals not theory involved and we have to have a certain amt. of hrs. which can only be filled if we attended everyone of them. Sorrry.
